Established in 1971, Barbara Russell Designs has already been at the forefront of needlepoint design.
Barbara had two retail shop locations: for 35 years homebase was a retail shop in the Chestnut Hill community of Philadelphia, PA. This shop closed in October 2005.
A second shop existed for several years in the lobby of the Rittenhouse located on Philadelphia’s prestigious Rittenhouse Square. Barbara doesn’t know of any other needlepoint shop that has existed in a hotel lobby. Do you?
Now Barbara is happily working from her home studio-office. The line will continue to be available and grow, she is still teaching needlepoint (email her if you are interested in classes) and her wonderful cottage industry needlepoint finishing business is still available.
